Abby Luschei is a journalist who lives in Seattle, Washington. She got her start as the arts and entertainment reporter for the Statesman Journal in Salem, Oregon, before moving to the Emerald City to be the digital producer for Seattle Refined, the lifestyle brand of KOMO News. She is a Washington native and graduated from Washington State University in 2017.
Abby has interviewed many celebrities and public figures, including Kevin and Franklin Jonas, Ed Asner and Lewis Black, as well as electronic music producers like Crankdat, Rezz and Seven Lions. During her time in Oregon, she served as the lead organizer, coach and emcee for the Salem Storytellers Project, part of the USA TODAY Network Storytellers Project. Abby has covered everything from community events to nationwide protests like March for Our Lives and Keeping Families Together throughout her decade-long career, and her main beat is highlighting small businesses and artists of all kinds.
Abby manages Seattle Refined's Instagram and TikTok, which have a combined following of more than 190,000. She creates original social content and writes in-depth features for the website about life in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest. She is regularly featured on the Emmy Award-winning Seattle Refined TV show and does weekly live hits on "ARC Seattle," KOMO News' sister station on the CW.
